Right, i'm surprised how little my friends know about the place i live, so yeah, high time i enlightened everyone.
And besides, i'm bored.
I live in Sentul.
Ok, not entirely accurate. I actually live about a mile from Sentul at a housing estate called Taman Rainbow and its set between two other tamans called Taman Kaya and Taman Kok Lian and its actuall about 3.25 miles down a major road in KL called Jalan Ipoh.
In short, its easier to say i live in Sentul.
It is a bit like the PJ area, albeit a lot older......i have loads of lizards in my house...no rats though :P, my dog took care of that.
Living in a place that's largely populated by elderly people and Indians and Chinese has its advantages. Besides, the area being older than my grandfather too has its advantages.
The dobi comes to my house. Yeah, my beloved Matrix tee-shirt gets picked up for dry cleaning every 2 weeks. He comes every Monday every week to dry clean mom's sarees, and wash dad's good shirts (the ones he wears to work) and pants...at low rates. He comes around 4pm , drops off the previous week's load, takes th new one, and has tea with us at the same time. He comes in this old van and wraps up the stuff that needs washing in a large cloth, ties it up like a nice parcel, and chucks it into the van. So, unlike most people, if i need my jacket to be dry-cleaned, i don't have to leave my house.
The milkman delivers. Not the chap who come in a van and uses bottles. This guy come on a motorcycle, with a large stainless steel container at the back from which he ladles fresh milk from the cows he keeps somewhere in Sentul into clear plastic bags, which he seals and hangs form our gate every afternoon. 3 bucks a packet, we take one everyday for making coffee.
Mom uses fresh ingredients in her cooking everyday. Here's why:
1) fresh Coffee, not bottled stuff. She buys the coffee beans which come from India or Brazil near Leboh Ampang (you would nvr know the place unless i showed you...its the old KL town area..quite a maze) when she goes to the bank or to pick up sis from school. The beans are roasted with a bit of butter by our "aunty" (she's our maid actually, but she's close and is about mom's age so calling her a maid i feel is quite degrading..so she our "aunty").
The beans are then dropped off at a mill which is on the way to school along Jalan Ipoh, which is convenient. The beans are ground and are delivered to the house by a chap on a motorbike the next day. The coffee powder is put into a strainer, hot water is poured and is left for about 20 minutes for the dark coffee to pour out. Its poured into a mug, fresh milk from the milkman is added and you have perfect coffee. Its convenient.
2) Likewise, dried chilli, pepper corn and turmeric are purchased form the same shop and sent to the same mill and is delivered.
3) The yong tau foo guy passes by the house everyday around 9am. Its good stuff.
4) The ice cream vendor passes by with his loud tunes every evening around 4pm. He has Magnum and Cornettos.
Moving on.....
You can run around my taman without worrying about being knocked down.
In one day, a maximum of 10 to 20 cars pass quietly by my house. There are loads of old trees giving shade and old people around. So, yeah, its a very quiet area.
There are loads of good chinese restaurants at my doorstep, so yeah, i eat well.
The taman being along jalan ipoh, means there is a bus passing by every 5 minutes, sometimes more. i can take ANY bus to town or to the KTM or LRT stations. Almost every cab driver knows how to get to Jalan Ipoh, so its easy to give directions.
The only places which are difficult to get to are Bangsar, PJ and the 1 Utama area.
I have never needed a car to get anywhere, cept to those places..bloody areas with zero public transport (sorry people, who live there).
Bukit Bintang and Times Square is a short monorail ride away. Mid Valley is a short KTM ride away, and KLCC is a bus ride away, but i get dad to drop me off on the way to his work place :P

The Year in Perspective
Righto, the year's about to be wrapped up, and knowing my lazy arse has the tendency to be glued to the sofa in front of the telly, lets get this over with right now when i'm pumped high with chocolate and feeling really good about it.
The year in perspective........
College:
Okies, after the first six sucky months at Taylor's, i have to say i enjoyed the last one year. Ok, make that the last 6 months of it or so when i really started clicking with my classmates, but hey...i still enjoyed it. Of course, minus the crappy physics lecturer (Mr Hari, with his lame-ass jokes and...never mind) the blood..pardon..money sucking parasites over at the admin office, and the idiots who contributed to local global warming by cutting down the trees near the SAM block, yeah, it was a ball.
The Prom:
SUCKED..period, don't even get me started on it. I felt ripped off and i got dirt on my plate for my bucks. Fine, i'll rant anyway (bored and nothing else to do online). Dumb MC, dumbass organisers, formal attire, sucky food and that irritating pink juice can seriously ruin an evening...and the fact that i had to actually pay for that crap was like the feeling you get when......well.....when you pay a lot for crap (my creativity at this time is at an all time) low..sorry). You know what i could have spent that hundred bucks on?
Yuva's Great Ideas for That 100 bucks You Blew on A Crappy Prom
1) Take your girlfriend out for an awesome meal and a private dance(if you do have one and could get a private dance somewhere...and know how to dance of course)= 100 bucks
if you're single.....
2) Dinner by yourself at Victoria Station=100 bucks
3)take your mom out (come on, gotta show that someone in your life a little love!!..oh,your dad could tag along)= 100 bucks
4) buy a remote controlled helicopter= 80 bucks, 20 is spent on rechargeable batteries
5)the 100 bucks contribute towards that vacation home in Scotland
6).....and to that Lamborghini you're gonna drive
7)..and to that closet filled with Matrix tee-shirts...and the Nehru suit worn by Neo....or those shades
8)A bottle of sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil= 9 bucks, the rest can go on a chocolates
9) travel to Belgium= 10,000 bucks, the hundred is for 2 boxes of Godiva truffles you'll get there
10) A Hot wheels car set...the one with the vintage models in collectible casing.....there is still a kid in me somewhere.
Righto, moving on.........
Paintball with PE1:
FUN, nuff said
Love Life:
Non-existant, period
Exams:
ssshhhhhhhhhh.......bad word, bad word...
Music:
Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, all came out with new albums.
Minutes to Midnight was out of this world
Maroon's "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" was good, so was Good Charlotte's "Good Morning Revival"..this was surprising (wasn't a Chrlotte fan before this).
Foo Fighter's "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace was ok...only really liked two or 3 songs.
Work:
Teaching the form 3s, 4s and 5s for 2 months was.........bloody good. I actually had loads of time to relax, made money, got to screw online all day long, and talk and teach people i've known back in high school. Oh, and of course, i learnt responsibility, independence, how to take care of my younger charges, how to manage people, how to run a camputer lab, bla bla bla (you know the usual thingamajig).
University:
Painful. (read posts on football injury and trauma)
Intellectually stimulating? Lets not even go there.......
Fun? DEFINITELY
Oh, and did you know that my matrix shirt is now 4 years old??
Movies:
Hardly watched any...its been sad. But....
1) Casino Royale was awesome.....but Clive Owen would have made a better Bond, no argument please.
2) I am Legend was rubbish...cept for the special effects...the movie made no sense.
3) Star Wars Ep 3 was good
4)Harry Potter was surprisingly not bad.
5)Mr Montgomery's Magical Emporium that sis dragged me to was crap
....forgot what else i watched.
Serials:
Heroes is addictive
Gaming:
I've recently been influenced and have started playing Counter-Strike and NFS( Need for Speed) almost every night this month.
I guess that's it for my highlights this year....and anyway, i feel like playing Counter-Strike now, so .....CHEERS MATES!!

operator, the line is dead
Operator, The Line Is Dead
- Jason Lo
==============================
I guess i never wanted this
Another 'ever after' kiss... Oh
Operator, the line is dead
Oh no, it's only me and all the walls inside my head
And for the record I was lost
With only one road I could never cross
And that's the road that takes me here
Oh no, not again
This is where it started
I need you, I'm for you
You threw me, I caught you
Don't leave me and say that you want to find a way back
Believe me, I followed all you said... Oh
Operator, the line is dead
How come you never look away
Everybody bought but I paid
You're not the one who left me here
Oh no, that was me and all the things I wanted
But now I find you different
You broke up all the walls in my head
Please don't go, let me
Need you, I want you
You know that I found you
Don't leave me and say that you want to find a way back
Believe me, I followed all you said... Oh
Operator, the line is dead
I guess i never wanted this
Another 'ever after' kiss... Oh
Operator, the line is dead
Oh no, it's only me and all the walls inside my head
I need you, I'm for you
You threw me, I caught you
Don't leave me and say that you want to find a way back
Believe me, I followed all you said... Oh
Operator, the line is dead
I need you, I'm for you (All you've said)
You threw me, I caught you (All you've said)
Don't leave me and say that you want
to find a way back (All you said)
Believe me, I followed all you said... Oh
Operator, the line is dead

I'm sick of strawberries....and damn tea.
Its red...
Its juicy..
It smells good...
And i hate it now.....
Went to Cameron Highlands bout 5 days ago, came back on Saturday. I didn't really have high hopes for the place. The online websites carried pics of tudor style buildings(gave me the impression of english wanna-be kind of place) and lots and lots of strawberries(they're sour, so you can't really get excited by the prospect of getting them really cheap) and my pals all said "there isn't really much to do there" so, yeah i wasn't all the enthusiastic about it and all.
The original plan was to take a trip to Bali, but was cancelled has dad could only take off for about 4 days and that aint enough time to get there, enjoy and get back. So, yeah, we went somewhere we've never been before.
Ok, lets start with the hotel. S.U.C.K.E.D. period.
But that's not the general case there. Its our fault actually for doing it all last minute and getting a crappy place. Lets move elsewhere now.
You do get fabulous places to stay at, as we quickly found out on our rounds of the place. Pics of The Lakehouse
why its called the Lakehouse
The whole place was done in english Tudor style, and according to Dad, it was very accurate. Timber everywhere, roof beams, support columns, the works.
Strawberries are ok i guess. Never really cared for them, cos they're sour. But i did stuff myself with this:
Yeah, its not exactly fresh cream, but who cares??? Its one of my face stuff! Whipped cream, and its good on anything, including nasty sour berries.
Tea press
You could do the tourist thing. Visit BOH's tea plantation, have tea like so:
Tea is not good. Trust me on this one. You want really good tea? Get the Sri Lankan one or the Indian tea, not the weak BOH stuff. Cakes were not bad though.
You could visit the strawberry farms, but then again, not much to see there, cept pig out on strawberries and cream, i like the cream more.
And, if you really want to something fun, go jungle trekking. I didn't bring my camera along, so no pics of it. But its bloody good. I mean real trekking, no path or anything, just loads of vegetation and mud..and you hardly sweat too it being cold and all. You don't see any insects either. Mud's too cold.
Apart from that, there isn't really much to do in CH. Its like Fraser's Hill, minus the archery range and horse riding.........and the better hotels.
Did i have a good time though?
have to say yes. Just get a better hotel, and you'll enjoy it more.

"Tis the season to be in pain!!!" *sing to the familiar tune*
Yeaps, i have landed myself in the throes of pain again...............lets do a recap first of what i've been through first before this latest one.....
1) The various smackings and canings imparted on my small self by certain evil larger people back when i was small and defenseless and INNOCENT......i tell you, my youth has been a large case of mistaken identity.......all those things i did? Wasn't me...........* i keep giving the excuse that i happen to have an evil twin whom my parents obviously are hiding and loved more than me....but no one seemed to buy it back then.....
2) Various slips and falls on water and other material left around the house floor including one involving stairs and butter from a sandwich....go figure.
3) Slips in the toilet due to imitations of Michael Jackson's *moonwalk* gone wrong.
4) Various ulcers in the mouth due to random biting of tongue and lips and inner side of cheeks.
5) Black eyes and scratched face from fights with evil doers in primary school
6) Pain from caning from mom who found out about fights
7) Torn thigh muscle from sprinting without having warmed up.....took me a month to come back from that one.
8) One too embarassing to be mentioned in detail......
9) Sprained ankle from sprinting the last stretch of my usual 5km jogs and stepping on a baby durian on the road while in full flight......still not healed properly from that one
10) The grand finale......possible torn ligament in right ankle *sweet-spot* (muscle or ligament holding ankle and foot at the area that is used for taking powerful shots at footballs) as a result of doing exactly that as 2 tackles from 2 idiots on campus came in on the same foot.......possible MRI scan needed for that one....on Saturday.
Some kind of jinx is in the air.........

The Long Overdue Post.
I owe you guys this, but to nicole most of all........(have been unwittingly made her personal entertainer).
Life in Singapore this half year has been a roller coaster ride. Ups and downs, twists and turns...making A Levels seem like a piece of cake (one with whipped cream and an oreo base and almonds like thos one i had tonight...but much about that later on.....).
I am once again among super geniuses (an upgraded version of PE1 albeit a less fun one)...more of this later on.
I joined the Hall football team and god knows how many knocks i picked up.
Joined the hall tennis team.
In short, its been quite a semester. My roomate is an Animation student and is this totally awesome guy. He got a fridge for the room and this has been a life saver (stomach saver actually)......getting a fridge alone is enough to qualify him as an awesome guy.
The University is a purely engineering one, except for the Art School and the business school. Oh, and the art school is like really really loaded...with a specially designed building filled with animation labs filled with MACS!!!!!! (Every nerd's wet dream is to run a Mac tower comp..including mine), design studios, art studios, animation software, freaking expensive Hasselbald DSLR pro cameras, Film camera, tripods, tracks for cameras.....basically the works. Roomie says its the most well funded Art School in Asia......and looking at the equipment alone, i have to agree. And btw, the roof of the building has a lawn on it, which you can sit on and have a picnic =)
The students stay in hostels called Halls of Residences, numbered from 1 to 16. The halls are pretty decent (mine is Hall 9 and my room faces a forest, which kinda acts as a natural air conditioner at night) but the best halls have got to be Halls 3 &16 the newest halls, built like resorts......with resort rental rates too.
Sports is pretty big here. Extremely competitive. Each year in December, the halls have kinda like a mini olympic thing and it is pretty darn competitive. Take football for instance. We had a friendly game with Hall 12 about 3 weeks back and the minute i got the ball and started my run on the wings, 2 guys came sliding in for a tackle....not your half hearted unskilled rag a tag kind of tackle, i'm talking about the real thing. The result? A busted ankle which was sore for 3 days. Its so rough that the guys thought i was mad to play without shin guards...i agree with them.
And then you have nutters who go running at 12 midnight like what i'm going to do after i write this post.........
And the ones who play futsal in the dark after 12......
And the ones who frequent the 24/7 shop on campus for chocs and root beer......
Exams ended yesterday, will be home on friday morning, might leave again in 10 days for the Games.
Celebrated yesterday with loads if pizza and then again today in Orchard Road. Food other than the one you get in NTU is awesome. We have about 5 or 6 canteens and cafe's on campus, of them, only 3 are really good, and all happen to be very far away from my hall. When i return i have to pig out at the following places:
1) Home and on mom's cooking
2) Chilis
3) any pizza place except Pizza Hut and Shakeys
4) The Ship
5) all my fave food places...to lazy to list.
Righto, am a man of few words and will let the pics do the talking:
After exam pizza gorging session. Yudi on the guitar,Wahyu next to him, then Chee Yang and the physics pro You Quan
Famous words: "enna dei, ada pavi!!!"

I'M COMING HOME!!!!!!
Okies, i just have to do this now......
EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
okies, that's put aside.
Righto, i'll be home on either friday or saturday morning. Then have to be back in 2 weeks time for the Inter-Hall Games. Will be playing on the wings for my hall (football) and tennis as well. Then , i'll be back again around late december (Christmas period) for a well deserved vacation in Bali (if dad has done all the bookings as he said he would).
Life's good.
PS: Nicole, will do a longer post with pictures later tonight after tennis practice

Yeaps, my last paper is about 2 hours and 55 minutes from now, and here i sit, blogging while my conscience is screaming:
"What the f&%k are you doing?!!!!!"
Oh, well, you know what Conscience? Lets play a game shall we? Its called "Ignorance" and to win this game, we shall ignore each other till...........about the 8th of January next year. It begins now.
PS: I NEVER LOSE.

(James Blunt Parody) She Was Beautiful...I Swear
This is freakin' brilliant—whoops! I started way, way, way too early. What? No. Just keep going? Yeah, it's fine. Cheers.
This is freakin' brilliant.
The embarrassment I endure
I thought I saw an angel
I was completely sure
She smiled at me on the subway
Turned out she was a man
I didn't know until I tried to sleep with her
After 8 black and tans
But she was beautiful, She was beautiful
She was beautiful, I swear
When I saw her face, it was in a crowded place
And I didn't see the bump right here
I shouldn't've drank so much beer.
Yeah, she had one lazy eye
But I couldn't tell in that light.
You should have seen the look on my face
When we got home that night.
And I said, "What the----oh my! Can we turn off the lights?"
But she just took off her clothes and my lust turned to fright.
But she was beautiful, She was beautiful
She was beautiful, I swear
When I saw her face, it was in a crowded place
And I didn't see the bulge right here.
Why did I drink so much beer?
No no no no no,
No no no no no no,
No no no no no no!
But she was beautiful, I promise she was beautiful
You gotta believe me she was beautiful, I swear.
I bet a flock of angels had smiles on their faces
As they watched me almost hook up with her—him—her—him—oh, gosh.
But it's time to face the truth
I got drunk and made out with a dude
